G6_Clip.pngA Long Time Ago,

In a Galaxy Far, Far Away,

A Star Is Born.

For the G6 assignment, you need to write me a story about the life of a star.

Begin with the sentence above, and follow it through the major events in the life of a star.

Don't forget to choose the star's mass, because it's life cycle depends almost entirely on how much mass has come together as it is born.

Tell the story using any tools you like; write a short story, make a short comic strip, write a lyrical poem or a song. Make it fun! Give it personality!

A Good Story will...
  • tell the life story through each of its stages (refer to the diagram below);
  • specify whether the star is lightweight, middleweight, or heavyweight.

An Excellent Story will..
  • explain the scientific reasons for each transition from one stage to another;
  • use some creative, imaginative, or otherwise interesting storytelling device (character, personality, etc.).
